Information We Collect
Contact details you submit via our contact form (name, email, project details, service interest, budget range). Newsletter sign-up details (email address). Job application details submitted via our Careers page (name, email, CV/portfolio links, and any other information you choose to share). Technical and usage data collected via analytics cookies (pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location) — only with your consent.
How We Use Your Information
Responding to enquiries and delivering the services you request. Managing job applications and recruitment. Sending newsletter updates, only if you have subscribed. Understanding how visitors use our site to improve content and performance (analytics, with consent). Meeting our legal and regulatory obligations.
Data Protection
Industry-standard security measures across our systems and tools. Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS). Secure, reputable hosting and storage providers. Access to personal data limited to team members who need it. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data with trusted service providers who help us run our business (e.g. Google Analytics, email/newsletter tools, hosting), only under appropriate data protection terms. For our client reporting tools we use Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting) and Anthropic (drafting report commentary from aggregated figures only). We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights. We never share client project details publicly without approval.
Advertising Platform Data
When a client asks us to run or report on their advertising, we connect to their advertising accounts on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Google Ads and YouTube), TikTok and Snapchat through each platform's official API, with the client's authorisation. The data we receive is campaign performance data: campaign, ad set and ad names, spend, impressions, reach, clicks, views, conversions and the ad creatives themselves. We do not receive personal data about the people who saw or clicked the ads. We use this data only to run, monitor and report on that client's advertising. We do not combine it with other clients' data, use it to build profiles of individuals, or share it with anyone other than the client and the service providers who run our systems. Our use of platform data follows the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, the Google API Services User Data Policy (including its Limited Use requirements), the TikTok for Business Developer Terms and the Snap Developer Terms. Access tokens are stored encrypted and never shared. When a client relationship ends, or on request, we remove the connection and delete the performance data we hold within 30 days. Clients can revoke our access at any time in Meta Business Settings, Google Ads, TikTok Business Center or Snapchat Business Manager.
Data Deletion Requests
To ask us to delete personal data we hold about you, or data we hold from an advertising account you control, email hi@eggcorndigital.com with the subject line "Data deletion request". Tell us who you are and what you would like removed. If it relates to an advertising account, include the platform and the account name. We will confirm within 5 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days, and we will tell you if there is anything we have to keep for legal reasons. You can also revoke our access directly in Meta Business Settings, Google Ads, TikTok Business Center or Snapchat Business Manager at any time. Advertising performance data is kept for the length of the client relationship plus 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you. You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. You can request deletion of your data, subject to legal requirements. You can object to or restrict certain processing, including opting out of analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent for cookies at any time via our cookie settings. We handle personal data under the UK GDPR and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies to operate and improve our site. Necessary cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. Preference cookies remember your settings and choices. Analytics cookies (via Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use our site — these are only set with your consent. Marketing cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns, also only with consent. You can view or change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings icon on our site.
Data Retention
We keep contact form enquiries for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Job application data is retained for the duration of the recruitment process and a limited period afterwards, in line with employment law. Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained according to Google's default retention settings and is only collected with your consent.
