Our website went eight years without a real update. Here's the story behind finally fixing it, and what changes now that we have.

Our old website hadn't been properly touched in eight years. Not redesigned, not rebuilt. Just occasionally opened to update a client list and closed again. I built most of it myself, which made it worse in a way, because I knew exactly how old it was underneath. It wasn't vintage. It was just an old car doing its best impression of a new one. Every time someone told me they'd come through the website, or visited before reaching out, there was a feeling I still can't fully describe: somewhere between embarrassment and the specific dread of hoping they hadn't looked too closely.

The Excuse We Told Ourselves

For years, the reasoning held up fine on the surface. Most of our clients come through social, word of mouth, or referrals, so the website was never really the front door. What that excuse conveniently left out was everyone we never heard from: the people who did land on the site, looked around, and left without ever making an enquiry. We had no way of counting them, which made it easy to pretend they weren't there. For an agency that spends its days obsessing over conversion for other brands, it took an uncomfortably long time to turn that same scrutiny on ourselves.

What Changes Now

This isn't a cosmetic refresh. It's the site actually catching up to where the agency already is. And it comes with a commitment. We're not going to let this one go quiet the way the last one did. Starting now, we'll be posting here weekly: what we're working on, what's happening across marketing, talent, and podcasting, and the occasional opinion we can't keep to ourselves.

If anything on the new site raises a question, use the contact page. We'll get back to you before your next cup of tea.

Key Takeaways
  • Our website went eight years without a real update. We're not pretending otherwise.

  • An agency built on conversion had to finally practice it on itself.

  • The new site launches with a working Journal, updated weekly.

  • Expect real opinions, real project updates, and real industry notes, not filler.

  • Questions go to the contact page and get answered fast.
