Beyond performance marketing, the objective was also to strengthen Ecobank’s digital presence and make the apps feel relevant, accessible, and beneficial to younger, mobile-first audiences.
We led digital marketing for Ecobank across the launch of their new Mobile App and Business App. Our mandate was to drive awareness, downloads, migration from the old platforms, and sustained adoption of the newly launched apps while repositioning Ecobank as a smarter, more reliable, and digitally-forward banking brand for modern users.

Many existing customers were still attached to the previous apps and needed a compelling reason to switch to the upgraded platforms. We had to simplify the transition while communicating the value of the new experience in a way that felt immediate and useful. Second was relevance with younger audiences. Younger users already had strong perceptions around digital banking — from frustrations with traditional banking systems to expectations around speed, convenience, and seamless mobile experiences. Ecobank needed to connect with this audience in a language and style that felt modern, relatable, and culturally aware.


Finally, there was a broader brand perception challenge. Ecobank needed a stronger and more consistent digital presence that positioned the brand as innovative, dependable, and digitally competitive within an increasingly crowded fintech and banking landscape.

Rather than relying on traditional banking communication, we built the campaign around everyday user benefits and lifestyle-driven storytelling. We translated app features into relatable solutions tied to speed, convenience, control, and financial freedom. Our strategy combined performance marketing with culture-driven digital storytelling. We created platform-native content tailored for Instagram, TikTok, X, Meta, and Google, ensuring the messaging matched how younger audiences consume and engage with content online. At the core of the campaign was education through simplicity.
